Park Programs

Tims Ford State Park holds programs through out the year for visitors of all ages. TFEEA is proud to assist the park with these programs.
The park recently held it's Heritage Day Celebration to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of the park and Tims Ford Lake. A display was presented that documents the history of the lake and what life was like prior to the building of the dam. This will be on display at the Franklin County Library in Winchester, TN.
The display will be moved to our new Visitor Center when construction is completed.
Many local residents came to share their stories of how things were before, during, and after the lake was formed. Park Manager, Mike Robertson, was on hand to answer questions and lead visitors on a hike thru the park. Rangers, Chris Padgett, Sharon Reagan, and Monica Johnson also assisted.
